Word was received here last evening of the death of Mrs. W. C. Lockhart, which occurred at her home in Kendallville Sunday after a long illness.

Mrs. W.C. Lockhart is in failing health and there is no hopes for restoration to health from the ravages of cancer.

Among the friends who attended the funeral of Mrs. WC Lockhart were the following from Kendallville, her former home: Rev. OM Meric, pastor of the Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member; Mr. J. Hall and mesdames Conner; Newman; Afkonhead; Roberts; Walker and Lewis. Their attendance evidenced the esteem in which Mrs. L. was held by her neighbors and those who knew her.
